01What is Palm Radio Reserve?
A monthly membership for live shows around LA. Instead of buying a ticket for each show, you get 100 credits every month and use them to reserve seats. Palm Radio shows are free to attend for everyone, and members can reserve a seat ahead of the public. It is not open yet, but you can join the waitlist at palmr.fm/reserve.
02How do Reserve credits work?
You get 100 every month and they renew on the day you joined each month, with no rollover. A show booked in advance costs 15, 25 or 50 depending on the size of the act. A last-minute show, which a venue or promoter opens when they want more people in the room, costs up to 25 and less as showtime nears and the room stays empty. Palm Radio shows cost nothing. Every credit expires a month after you get it, including credits returned to you.
03Do I get my Reserve credits back?
Last-minute shows give all your credits back when you check in. Shows booked in advance are not refunded. If you do not show up to a last-minute show, the credits are not returned.
04Can I get credits for bringing a friend?
Yes. Members get a personal link. When a friend joins through it and has been a paying member for 7 days, you each get 25 credits. Credits last a month. A friend who cancels or is refunded before then does not count, and there is a limit on how many rewards you can earn in 30 days.
05How much is Reserve and can I cancel?
$19.99 a month, or $199.99 a year. You can cancel anytime online and you keep access until the end of what you paid for.
06What are last-minute shows?
Shows around LA where a venue or promoter has decided they want more people in the room. We do not know which ones in advance. When one opens, it shows up on your map and you can reserve a seat.
07What is Palm Radio?
An artist collective for live entertainment. We find people who can hold a crowd (DJs, bands, comedians, filmmakers, dancers, painters, potters, whoever) and put them on a real stage in front of real people. Our shows are pop-ups: they can land almost anywhere, at any time of day, from a coffee shop to a run club.
08What is Palm Radar?
Your virtual home for live shows. Log the concerts, comedy shows, plays and more you went to, rate each part of the show on its own, and build a passport of every show you were actually there for.
09Is Palm Radar only for music?
No. Concerts and club nights come first and are the most built out, but you can also log comedy and spoken word, drag and cabaret, magic, circus and variety, theater, dance and opera, or any other live show. Each kind of show gets its own wording and rating names, and you can filter your feed by type.
10How do I get into Palm Radar?
It's invite only for now and opens up a little at a time. Got a code? Head to the join page. No code? Request an invite by email.
11Do shows cost money?
It depends on the show. Every show on the Shows page says what it costs, and RSVPs go through Partiful. Some are free, you just have to RSVP.
12Why is the location a secret sometimes?
Some shows drop the location the day of. RSVP and you'll get it when it goes out.
13How do I play a Palm Radio show?
Apply at palmr.fm/apply. Tell us what you do, add a link or two where we can see or hear it, and the area you're in. Any kind of live performance counts. First sets are welcome.
14I run a venue. How does it work?
Two ways to work with us. We can bring a Palm Radio show to your room: we bring the crowd and the promo, you keep the bar, and there's no rental fee. Apply at palmr.fm/apply. Or, if you already book your own shows, list them at palmr.fm/host/apply and get paid for every Reserve member who checks in.
15I already book my own shows. Can I list them on Palm Radio Reserve?
Yes, if you are a venue, promoter, collective or independent artist. Apply once at palmr.fm/host/apply. After we approve you, you can post your own shows, including last-minute ones, choose how many seats to open to members, and see who checked in. Palm Radio pays you for each member who checks in, agreed per show.
16Can I start Palm Radio where I live?
Yes. If there's no Palm Radio near you yet, that means it's your turn. Reach out by email or on LinkedIn and we'll walk you through it.
17Where do my photos go if I post them in the app?
Only where you choose. You can feature up to five photos or clips from a show, and they're checked before they reach an artist's or venue's page, with your name on them.
18Can I delete my account?
Yes, yourself, any time. In the app open the menu, then Settings, and tap Delete my account.
19Is Palm Radio tied to a school?
No. Palm Radio is independently operated and not affiliated with any university or institution.
